OK Go and Citizen Cope rock the field house

At 6:30 pm, the smell of hot pavement, bus fumes, and damp grass surround the Colby Field House. The muffled sounds of the sound check are thumping from inside, and early concertgoers try to get a glimpse of the bands inside. Groups of young teenagers, who are "definitely here for OK Go," toss tennis balls back and forth, play hand games, and tackle each other onto the grass.

Jazz Band demonstrates skill, energy, and the power to heal

"Jazz heals!" promised a General Announcement for the Jazz Band's spring concert. "Wouldn't that be nice?" I thought with a throbbing headache. I'd later regret my skepticism. Kicking off the night was not the band itself, but Kathleen Fallon '10, a little lady with big talent who was in Eric Thomas' Jazz Improvisation JanPlan.

The Fratellis "Costello Music" is perfect for the spring

The Fratellis are not for the faint of heart. This needs to be said flat-out at the start. Costello Music, the first major release from the band, is a beautiful piece of rock music, but stays a bit hard to understand. The release starts off with a blasting "Henrietta", a plea to Henrietta to take money from her father and hang out with a less-than-desirable crowd.
